At Red Thread Innovations, we thrive when our people thrive. We are currently looking for an executive assistant to be the supportive force that empowers our founder.

The ideal person for the job will be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and a meticulous attention to detail.

They will have previous experience working in an office environment, performing administrative duties and providing support to management.

Given the changing nature of the growth of our organization, this role will be relied on for flexibility and foresight.

While this is a primarily remote position, the individual who fulfills this role will be required to be located in the Greater Toronto Area to execute all required tasks, as described below.

We are currently hiring for a 6-month contract, with possibility of extension to 1-year and/or full-time permanent.


What You'll Do

  • With a primary responsibility of supporting the founder, provide support to the executive team as directed to ensure that company goals and objectives are accomplished, and operations run efficiently
  • Maintain and refine internal processes that support the founder, coordinating internal and external resources to expedite workflow
  • Manage communication between the founder and employees, liaising with internal and external executives on various projects and tasks
  • Plan and orchestrate work to ensure the founder's priorities are met, organizational goals are achieved, and best practices are upheld
  • Support in logístical setup and execution of personal tasks for the founder, including occasional pickups around the Toronto area
  • Handle bookkeeping tasks, such as expense management and invoicing
  • Provide general administrative and office support, such as coordinating shipments and ordering supplies
  • Supporting the People and Culture team with People operations and initiatives
  • Organize staff meetings and events, both internally and offsite

About You

  • Postsecondary education, preferably in business administration or another related field
  • Proven experience as an executive assistant or other relevant administrative support experience
  • Previous experience supporting a CEO in a startup environment is an asset
  • Passionate about technology and comfortable working in an agile environment where iteration and continuous improvement is essential to the culture
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong timemanagement skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at once, meeting deadlines in a fastpaced, quickly changing environment to be expected within a startup
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and competing priorities seamlessly, with a strong attention to detail
  • Possessing an entrepreneurial mindset would be an asset
  • Proactively approach problemsolving with strong decisionmaking skills
  • Selfmotivated with a keen ability to anticipate needs and work autonomously
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Experience developing internal processes and systems
  • Proficiency in office productivity tools, such as MS Office or Google Workspace with aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • Flexible team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done; adaptable and enjoys a challenge
