SUMMARY


The Facility Manager III ensures that client facilities are operated and maintained cost-effectively, safely, efficiently as per the operating parameters of the Statement of Work and management contract.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Safety, Security and Regulatory Ownership:


  • Oversee compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Liaise with Client Corporate Security and Health & Safety to assist with daytoday requirements, minor security or Health & Safety projects with Facilities components.
  • Create and update Standard Operating Procedures for critical FS activities (i.e. water damage to premises, Business Continuity).

Leadership Development and Recognition

  • Supervise Team Members including directing activities, establishing goals and objectives, performance evaluation and communicating vision for facilities management; supervise Concierge Team Leader and Concierge team member(s) etc.
  • Participate actively and encourage Team Member Recognition Program to provide recognition to BGIS Team Member for Great Work.

Work Order Management:


  • Work in collaboration with Central Work Order Management Team to ensure all work is being coordinated and completed as outlined in the MSA.
  • Monitor work order progress and ensure tasks are completed within established timelines.
  • Prioritize and assign work orders based on urgency and impact on the facility.

Visibility in Sites and Inspection Management:

  • Review national inspection reports from BGIS and coordinate corrective work in collaboration with BDC Facilities Services.
  • Maintain a constant presence across the facility.
  • Provide additional inperson support at the Head Office in Downtown Montreal Qc to monitor the conditions of the space, quality control, performance of concierge services and food services.
  • Prioritize and orchestrate the resolution of issues identified during inspections.

Occupant Experience:


  • Liaison with the Client on daytoday facility management activities.
  • Elevate the overall occupant experience by creating a welcoming and productive environment.
  • Foster open lines of communication with occupants to address their needs and concerns promptly.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance occupant satisfaction, comfort, and wellbeing.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and positivity within the facility.
  • Assist in coordination of food services, client satisfaction followups, and coordination of equipment repairs.

Proactive Communication and Escalation:


  • Maintain clear and proactive communication channels with all stakeholders.
  • Ensure proactive escalation processes for addressing facilityrelated challenges.
  • Provide timely updates on issue resolutions.
  • Foster transparency and open dialogue to facilitate effective decisionmaking.

Project Management:


  • Assist with minor and major corporate projects, decommissioning of business centers, and sublease management.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Five to ten years' experience in a property/facility management environment
  • Community college diploma or equivalent training (e.g., RPA, FMA, CET)
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Selfstarter, willing to learn, able to work independently.
  • Excellent business management/development skills
  • Excellent at planning and organizing.
  • Knowledge of building standards and requirements
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Superior communication and facilitation skills required to advise and influence client.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines under pressure.
  • Inperson presence, minimum of 23 days/week
  • Bilingual (French / English)
Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

  • Certified Facility Manager through International Facility Management Association (IFMA)
  • Certified Property Manager through Institute of Real Estate Management
  • Facility Management Administrator Designation through Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI)
  • Real Property Administrator through Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI)
