Job:
CNC Machinist | Program, Setup, and Operate | Mill and/or Lathe

Afternoon Shift (Mon-Thurs | 3:45pm to 1:45am)

No two days will be the same given the company's focus on low volume high complexity work from a variety of industries including deep sea submergence, aerospace, alternative energy, medical, and manufacturing OEMs.

The 20,000-square-foot facility in the Tri-City area, BC and is equipped with 20 CNC machines including a mix of vertical mills, lathes, and 7-axis live tooling machines.

The company is ISO 9001 certified and operates well-maintained Mazak and Haas equipment. Near 40-year history with a deep bench of tenured machinists to learn from.

The Opportunity:

Set up and operate CNC turning to mill and multiaxis centers.
Past experience working with tight tolerances (microns to 5 thou).
Ability to check machined parts and read technical drawings.
Ability to fill in detailed paperwork and record dimensions accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and machine.
Machine knowledge and basic maintenance capabilities.
Ability to work in a team environment to support other machinists.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Parts deburring and polishing.

Hours

Afternoon Shift. (3:45 pm 1:45 am | Mon-Thu)
1 Hour lunches are paid for the afternoon shift.
Friday and weekend overtime is available depending on the shop's workload.
