Job Description:
Purpose and Scope:
As a member of the Maintenance team, the Stores Attendant reports to the MRO Stores Supervisor. The Stores Attendant is responsible for day-to-day activities and inventory in the stock room.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Verifying supplier shipments (i.e. verifying quantities and descriptions)
Unpacking shipments and placing products in designated stocking locations
Serving customers at the stockroom window or counter
Performing physical inventory counts
Maintaining accurate manual and computer records
Receiving, cycle count, draw and return transactions
Expediting supplier shipments (backup) for MRO
Reacting to and coordinating emergency shipments under the direction of MRO coordinator
Refill the vending machines daily, as needed
Coordinate with accounting/finance on receiving issues
Support the Maintenance Department with kitting parts for special projects
Maintain and organize all paperwork and documentation that is received with orders and product/services
Ensures that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health and Safety Systems are met.
Support Purchasing department and functions, as needed
Ensures that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health and Safety Systems are met.
Qualifications, Education And / or Experience:
- Qualifications:_
Excellent communication skills with good interpersonal abilities
Must be physically capable of lifting up to 36lbs.
Experience in customer service or in a stockroom is an asset
Knowledge of maintenance, repair, operations and production products is an asset

Computer experience with the Microsoft suite of products such as Outlook, Excel and Word is preferred
