Description
Shipper/Receiver will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments. Load and unload shipments regularly with the capability of heavy lifting. Responsible for inspection of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify contents and quality.


JOB DUTIES

  • Unloading and loading delivery vehicles
  • Cleaning and organizing warehouse and exterior work yard
  • Accurate recordings of incoming and outgoing shipping logs
  • Accurately pick orders as outlined, ensuring and doublechecking items before shipping
  • Confirm item counts and the correct product with the correct description is prepared for customers
  • Loading/Unloading trucks with forklift
  • Advising Team Lead of any shortages of goods in the warehouse so inventory is well communicated and stocked
  • Handle merchandise in a damagefree manner, and report all equipment malfunctions to Lead.
  • Properly receive inbound shipments in a prompt manner, including safe unloading of items from carriers to assigned warehouse locations
  • Build skids to be sent to customers
  • Process all required administrative work and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking
  • Observe safety regulations while working in a safe manner and wearing the required safety PPE at all times
  • Oversee lifts and regular maintenance records
  • Helping with various other shop tasks as required
  • Assist with regular company inventory control counts

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Attention to detail and good communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, set priorities and manage time effectively
  • A self starter who is comfortable working with minimum supervision
  • Ability to handle physical workload, prioritize and multitask
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • English verbal, written, and reading skills required
  • A good understanding of warehouse processes an asset

Salary:
$23.00-$25.00 per hour
