AECOM is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Intermediate Ecologis t to join our growing team in Ontario.
Job responsibilities include but aren't limited to the following:
- Supporting planning and coordinating logistics of environmental field studies.
- Working with a large multi-disciplinary team to execute projects and meet client expectations.
- Assisting Project Managers with tasks such as monthly project and budget update summaries, preparation of meeting minutes, scheduling and coordinating field programs.
- Supporting preparation of proposals and workplans.
- Completing field programs such as vegetation, wetlands, wildlife, fisheries and soils. Technical discipline specialty experience would be considered an asset.
- Adhering to and enforcing corporate Safety, Health and Environment protocols and AECOM's quality control program.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Sciences, or Biological Sciences
- 4 years of experience of demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education as an environmental consultant, industry representative, or other.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 years experience in environmental consulting
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with liaising with clients, colleagues and sub-contractors alike
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well organized, and strong quality and time management
- Highly motivated and willingness to learn new tasks
- Experience in a technical discipline such as vegetation, wetlands, wildlife, fisheries or soils would be considered an asset
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $61, $85,000.00.
