What you'll do:


You will be responsible for leading the team in providing exceptional customer service to make all guests of our Co-op feel "at home here.

" This will be accomplished by:


  • Supervising and delegating employee's workflow and duties while ensuring all staff are following safety standards as well as Humboldt Coop's policies and procedures.
  • Completing reviews on Team Members plan, monitor and review Team Member performance as it relates to the Performance Management process.
  • Providing ongoing and frequent communication and coaching.
  • Onboarding and training new staff.
  • Demonstrating leadership in the operation of Point of Sale system.
  • Assisting with interviews as needed.
  • General Food Store duties as required housekeeping, stocking, receiving, ordering, opening, closing, operate POS system

Who you are:

You are interested in a career in customer service and:

  • You have prior supervisory experience (considered an asset).
  • You have above average communication skills and computer skills.
  • You have retail experience in the areas of customer service and merchandising.
  • Have knowledge of retail grocery operations and willing to expand knowledge in this area.
  • You're honest and trustworthy, are resultsoriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You are willing to work all shifts scheduled including days, evenings, holidays and weekends.
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
  • You are physically able to do heavy lifting of 50lbs, climb ladders and kneel.
