_ We are looking for a Pipefitter to join our team at our client site in the Vancouver Island, BC area. This position starts on August 21st, 2023, and will go until September 1st, 2023, with a full-time position potential for high-performing individuals._

_ This position is local to Vancouver, but everyone is encouraged to apply, especially those willing to relocate_

What would you be doing?

  • Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the type of pipe and instruments to use and lay out the sequence of tasks.
  • Draft detailed sketches for pipe and equipment fabrication and installation.
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install metal, plastic, and fibreglass pipes, valves, and fittings.
  • Join pipe sections and related equipment and secure in position.
  • Use testing equipment to check systems for leaks.
  • Maintain and repair piping systems.

Does this sound like you?

  • Journeyperson or Apprentice Pipefitter ticket/certification.
  • Valid WHIMIS.
  • Experience with hydro testing an asset.
  • Enjoy a varied workload.
  • Must have your own reliable transportation.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.

  • Journeyperson Rate $44.0
  • Benefits after 300 hours of work.
  • Monday to Friday with 10hour shift.
  • Meal Allowance $75/day.

  • This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing._
