About the Job
Reporting to the Income & Supports Services Manager, the Eligibility & Integrity Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of the Program Eligibility Workers and will monitor daily activities around determining eligibility and granting applications for all financial assistance programs delivered by the Income and Support Services Division. They will be responsible for completing Internal Reviews of eligibility decisions and representing the County of Bruce at Social Benefits Tribunal as the Case Presenting Officer. The Eligibility & Integrity Supervisor will oversee the administration and compliance of the Eligibility Verification Process (EVP) and will have oversight of all intelligence activities aimed at preventing and reducing financial losses. The Eligibility & Integrity Supervisor will have responsibility for ensuring that investigations are completed for all allegations of fraud, and outcomes are properly documented, and sanctions applied. The Eligibility & Integrity Supervisor will provide oversight and direction on matters involving child and spousal support.Salary & Benefits

Requirements
Post-secondary degree in Social Sciences, or related fieldFour years of direct, hands-on experience in the social services field
Effective communication and presentation skills including mediation and negotiation in a legal setting.
Ability to work with sensitivity towards the diverse perspectives of individual clients and community service providers, while meeting the objectives and targets of the department
Ability to maintain positive professional boundaries without imposing personal judgments and expectations on families and clients
Demonstrated appreciation for and dedication to cultural sensitivity.
Familiarity with techniques for interacting with individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, in person and over the telephone.
Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive or private information with tact and discretion.
Ability to analyze complex situations and make sound recommendations.
Current valid driver's license and ability to travel.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Assets
Certificate in dispute/negotiations through the Ministry of Community and Social Services
