Description

LabX Media Group is currently looking for a SEO Specialist to join our marketing department. Reporting to the SEO Manager, the SEO Specialist will work with the core marketing team as well as interface with each brand within LabX Media Group to analyze our various websites for improvements and monitor performance.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct comprehensive SEO audits for our brand websites identifying actionable tasks across technical, onpage, offpage SEO.
  • Converting tasks into JIRA tickets for relevant stakeholders across development and editorial teams. Managing tasks and deadlines in JIRA with regular updates for every task.
  • Conduct advancedlevel keyword research, developing innovative ongoing on page tactics.
  • Execute onpage optimization related to page titles, descriptions, canonicals, URLs, internal link structures, and SEO copy editing.
  • Research and analyze competitor rankings for keywords and backlinks and present monthly findings (gap analysis, opportunities & challenges) to management.
  • Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code.
  • Track, report, and analyze keyword data to provide recommendations for the optimal use of specific keywords to increase organic rank and search traffic.
  • Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming as well as provide basic SEO training on a regular basis.
  • Evaluate link profiles and identify creative link building opportunities.
  • Analyzing and drawing actionable insights from thirdparty analytics data including GA4 and Google Search Console
  • Building monthly and annual SEO reports with actionable insights and the next step
  • Conduct deep and regular dives into indexation, crawling, and rendering to identify actionable improvements with web development teams.
  • Coach and help train employees from multiple departments on SEO strategies and best practices.
  • Manage and report on SEO performance, ongoing and adhoc.

Qualifications:


  • 4+ years of technical SEO experience and eagerness to learn
  • Experience working for an agency or multiple clients considered a strong asset
  • Working knowledge of, GA4 Google Search Console and main SEO tools and dashboarding platforms (Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Looker Studio (Formerly Google Data Studio), Tableau, etc.)
  • Understanding of WordPress and other CMS and confident at executing tasks of the back end
  • Uptodate with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
  • Experience working with developers to identify and resolve SEO errors
  • Postsecondary education in marketing, analytics, or a closely related field.
  • A passion for emerging platforms and good knowledge of effective SEO strategies and techniques.
  • Analytical, with the ability to interpret information, news, data, and research quickly and distill the most important/relevant information for intelligent strategic development.
  • Numerate and literate with the ability to produce topquality reports in Google Looker Studio (Formerly Data Studio), PowerPoint, etc.
  • A selfstarter with a positive outlook and excellent attentiontodetail
  • Proactive and highly organized, with strong time management and planning skills
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • Good at absorbing large amounts of information, with a general hunger for learning
  • Credible, confident, and articulate, with good communication and presentation skills
  • Innovative and creative, with a concise, precise, and effective approach to problem solving.
  • Strong comprehension of E-EA-T and YMYL

Additional strengths considered beneficial

  • Strong understanding of frontend technologies such as CSS/Schema/HTML, page speed, DOM, APIs, SQL
  • An understanding of log file analysis, crawl records, large datasets and other technical web other analytics data
  • Experienced Excel function skills
  • Experience utilizing enterpriseclass technical SEO tools such as onCrawl, Deep Crawl, Botify and others
  • Utilization of tools such as Lighthouse, CrUX, and New Relic for page speed and site performance optimization
  • Paid ad optimization
