Position Summary:

Reporting to the Plant Superintendent, the Afternoon Production Supervisor coordinates/oversees production operations on the assigned shift. Ensures production standards for safety, regulatory compliance, environment, quality, customer service and cost are met. As a part of the Plant's leadership team, supports building and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities:

Coordinate/oversee Processing, Shipping/Receiving, and Sanitation on the assigned shift to achieve daily operational goals in accordance with approved production standards.
Provide effective leadership and direction to hourly employees through coaching, crosstraining, and performance management.
Oversee Receiving/Shipping activities and personnel to ensure warehouse standards (Housekeeping, FIFO, Min/Max, 5S, Transaction, etc.) are being adhered to.
Demonstrate strong leadership in addressing any safety risks and hazards. Follow through to ensure the completion of corrective actions.
Drive key performance indicators such as labour cost, inventory level, reliability, efficiency, schedule compliance, and report variances daily on DDS boards or/and with other relevant production tools.

Requirements:

Post-Secondary degree or diploma in
Previous experience in Sanitation and
Strong knowledge in GMP, HACCP, WHMIS, and BRC
Flexibility to work all three shifts (AM/PM/Night)
Experience with MRP systems such as AS400 or
Clear and concise communication skills, ability
Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word,
