    Are you a Human Resources professional based in Ottawa who loves to support people, be collaborative, and thrive in a dynamic environment? We have your next opportunity Our private sector client, a community animal protection organization, is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join their team on a permanent, on-site basis.

    If you are not in love with the idea of commuting and working on-site, this may not be the role for youKeep an eye on our jobs board for other remote/hybrid opportunities.

    Salary range: $50,000-$60,000

    About you

    To succeed in this role, you'll need:

    • 2+ years of experience in a human resources role, including onboarding, orientation, training and development, and processing of payroll cycles from start to end
    • College or University degree in Human Resources
    • To know how to do full-cycle payroll
    • To be familiarized with legislation, regulations, guidelines, etc.
    • To work on-site, in Ottawa, five days a week
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Experience with HRIS, ADP and other HR/payroll software is a strong asset

    About the role

    If hired, you will:

    Track and manage talent compensation

    • Assist with employee recruitment and orientation
    • Track employee training, development, and recognition programs
    • Identify and evaluate program goals and objectives
    • Oversee wage and salary adjustments and handle payroll record

    Manage data and report

    • Ensure HRIS database accuracy and integrity
    • Produce and maintain accurate reports, records, and files

    Support the team to thrive

    • Support and guide coworkers, volunteers, students, and work placements through essential orientation and training
    • Provide clerical support in the area of human resources and other departments as required
    • Represent the company professionally while participating in PR and promotional activities.
