Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and purchase media campaigns in alignment with campaign parameters and client objectives.
  • Request submissions and develop media schedules that align with campaign goals and brand strategies.
  • Collaborate with the media planning team to address market concerns, timing, and brand attribution.
  • Prepare and present detailed prebuy and postbuy reports.
  • Upload media buys, track changes, and handle budget control reports with precision.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and manage budgets efficiently.
  • Execute revisions to media buys, including negotiation of compensation where necessary.
  • Maintain clear communication with planning teams and assist in briefing processes.
  • Assist Senior Buyers in evaluating sponsorships and integrations, offering recommendations.
  • Identify promotional or valueadded opportunities.
  • Advise the team proactively on variations in media plan execution.
  • Train junior staff on media tools and processes.
  • Prepare media POVs and conduct market analyses.
  • Perform thirdparty audits as needed.
  • Continuously develop your knowledge of the media landscape

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Excellent communication skills in English are required;
    French bilingualism is an asset but not required as you will be working with an anglophone team in Toronto

  • A University/College degree in advertising/marketing is preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the media industry, ideally with Canadian media buying experience.
  • Strong client service orientation, analytical skills, and financial acumen.
  • High level of organizational skill, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with media research tools.
  • Ability to work well in a team, multitask, and manage time effectively.
