Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to join our team as a Warehouse / Shop Technician in Lachine, Quebec.

About the Role

Levitt-Safety is currently recruiting for a Warehouse & Shop Technician in our Lachine office to perform routine inspection and maintenance of fire extinguishers, and fire and life safety equipment for our customer base in Quebec.

Main Responsibilities

Inspect, repair, and provide maintenance of fire equipment such as extinguishers and other types of fire & life safety equipment
Ensuring safe use of all shop tools and equipment including use of company service vehicle
Provide field assistance to outside technicians as required
Pickup and delivery of service work and completed jobs as required
Warehouse duties to include shipping, receiving & inventory management
Maintaining warehouse organization and shop equipment and work with the service team for repairs as needed
Timely and accurate completion and submission of paperwork

Ideal Qualifications

Experience working in a mechanical shop or equivalent handson role with vehicles or other motorized equipment
Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude with experience working with power and hand tools
A valid drivers' license and clean drivers abstract
Prior customer service experience and great communication skills
Must be proficient in both English and French

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted, coupled with good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
Able to pass preemployment and periodic drug and alcohol testing as well as criminal background checks
