Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Junior Environmental Coordinator to join our team In this role you will get to
support our project managers and field technicians by managing soil and groundwater data, supporting the finalization of reports, preparing analytical data tables, and preparing figures .


What You'll Be Doing:


You will be supporting projects such as Contaminated Land Assessments and Management Programs ( Phase I and II ESAs ), Remediation, Excess Soil management, and other Environmental management plans and monitoring for infrastructure projects.

The responsibilities for this position are primarily administrative tasks (occasional field tasks may be required).

  • D ata management and analysis associated with environmental investigations, including inputting, organizing, quality checking and presenting environmental data in reports.
  • Preparing analytical tables using Excel and Word.
  • Formatting and finalizing technical letters, memorandums, and reports within Word.
  • Coordinating and preparing permits including utilities locates, preparing work plans and health and safety plans.
  • Preparing figures using ESRI GIS software
  • Work in project teams including field personnel, project coordinators, project managers, draftspersons and technical staff using interpersonal and organizational skills.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:


  • University degree (4year Bachelor's) in environmental science or engineering, earth sciences, or other related programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to operate selfsufficiently.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:


  • Working knowledge of Access Database and SQL an asset.
  • Working knowledge of ESRI GIS software and AutoCAD.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills to present information to varied audiences and advanced writing skills to prepare detailed report/materials of varying complexity.
