What does success look like at Pinnguaq?

  • Engaging with thousands of young learners and adults across the country through the delivery of communitycentred workshops
  • Designing and deploying interactive experiences, online learning modules, and maker kits to teach STEAM fundamentals to all ages
  • Publishing the nationallyrecognized Root & STEM magazine, create a space to explore diverse voices and stories in STEAM
  • Operating makerspaces in Nunavut & Ontario providing handson access to tools, equipment, and training for inquisitive minds and makers

Job Summary:


Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development and implementation of curriculum materials tailored to the specific needs of our clients.
  • Ensure standards for curriculum design, instructional methods, and assessment practices are being maintained
  • Oversee analysis and reviews of all educational materials to ensure alignment with organizational goals, educational standards, and community needs.
  • Implement quality assurance processes and protocols to maintain consistency and brand standards across all projects.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to enhance the quality of educational materials.
  • Guide the Education Project Managers to maintain effective communication with partners while being accountable for the progress of projects, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Assist the Education Project Managers in coordinating with internal teams and external members to allocate resources effectively.
  • Work with the Education Project Managers to identify and mitigate potential risks or challenges that may impact project timelines or outcomes.
  • Maintain positive relationships with partners.
  • Stay uptodate on relevant market trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in education, particularly as they relate to rural, remote, and Indigenous communities.
  • Lead research initiatives to identify gaps in educational resources and opportunities for innovation.
  • Collaborate with relevant internal teams to lead instructional design strategy to ensure the LMS meets the needs of users and supports effective delivery of educational materials.
  • Work handinhand with internal departments to oversee the implementation and management of the organization's LMS system.
  • Assist in provide training and support to staff on the use of LMS, including best practices for content creation, user engagement, and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of Instructional Design or Educational Content software, such as, Articulate, Canva, H5p is an asset

Attributes and Qualifications:

- _Bachelor's degree in Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field; Master's degree preferred._
- _Proven leadership experience in curriculum development, particularly in diverse educational settings._
- _Strong understanding of educational standards, instructional design principles, and assessment practices._
- _Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines._
- _Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders._
- _Knowledge of learning management systems and experience with instructional technology tools._
- _Commitment to cultural sensitivity, equity, and inclusion in educational practices._
