Description

• Train staff in SOPs and provide staff with continuous guidance;
• Assist in conducting complaint investigations;
• Establish and enforce GPP and QA standards, providing technical and regulatory input for growing, packaging and production;
• Ensures that an effective Quality Management System (QMS) is in place;
• Supports development, maintenance and approval of written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documents, including amendments;
• Ensure that the destruction of cannabis waste products is managed and destroyed as per current approved SOPs and in line with the regulations;
• Ensures that all processing activities are carried out as per current approved SOP's;
• Prepare and send reports to regulatory bodies, as required;
• Provide guidance to other departments with respect to GPP, Cannabis Regulations, and Cannabis Act compliance;
• Ensure Corrective Action and Preventative Action (CAPA) investigations are conducted appropriately and closed in a timely manner;
• Possess or able to pass the Health Canada Security Clearance check;
• Work in conjunction with other internal departments, ensuring that quality concerns are communicated to the Quality Assurance Manager;
• Perform other duties as requested.

• Must have a combination of training, experience and technical knowledge related to the appropriate requirements of the Cannabis Regulations
• Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within a Cannabis manufacturing environment is preferred
• Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry Biochemistry or a related Science discipline is preferred
• Understanding of the Cannabis Act, Cannabis Regulations and Pest Control Product Act
