- Offer ongoing subject matter expertise and guidance to Member Firms, Deloitte Global teams, and Deloitte Technology groups as they progress on their action plans
- Advise and assist teams in developing and populating their controls within ServiceNow to support their data risk and control processes
- Oversight and analysis of associated metrics and reporting, including key data risk indicators and controls performance
- Lead report and results presentation to Deloitte Technology leaders, Member Firms, and relevant stakeholders, including Global Risk Leaders, Executive and Board as required
- Ten+ years experience in leading or managing technology/data control design and enablement, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing reporting
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC are an asset
- Information security or cyber security background with experience in working in global or matrixed organizations
- An understanding of the principles around ISO27001, CMMI, COBIT, ITIL, PMI, Prince2
- A strong understanding of system development life cycles and data management approaches and concepts
- Excellent relationship management skills across the technology function and Member Firm network to introduce change and mobilize the implementation of new controls
- Ability to handle difficult conversations and confidently manage senior stakeholders at C‑level
- Ability to manage virtual teams in multiple time zones at multiple levels and diverse skills

What will your typical day look like?
The Data Strategy & Governance Senior Manager role is a unique role that will drive immediate and global impact to help lead the formation and build the foundations of the new Data Strategy & Governance Office (DSGO) at Deloitte Global.
In this role, you will help lead the definition, development, and implementation of Deloitte Global's approach for data control management capabilities in alignment with the organization's objectives and multi‑regional compliance requirements. By consulting, influencing, and partnering with key stakeholders, you will conduct assessments, identify gaps, and provide recommendations on how to enable data controls.
The role leads the definition and enablement of data controls across Deloitte Global including control assessment, and the design of processes and tools for control owners to successfully implement and monitor controls in their jurisdiction. In addition, you will lead discussions and provide expertise on industry practices with accountability for the global implementation of enabling practices by managing multiple programs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance and controls. As the DSGO continues to evolve, this candidate will have a high degree of initiative and ideally thrive in an ambiguous environment, with an aptitude for developing new frameworks and processes and a proactive and agile approach to managing concurrent programs.
The ideal candidate will also have strong communication and relationship‑building skills, with a high degree of comfort engaging in open and probing dialogue, challenging assumptions, and providing thoughtful and well‑conceived points of view with leaders.

The DSGO is responsible for building an integrated strategy and operating model to effectively and consistently manage global data throughout its lifecycle to more effectively serve our clients, meet business objectives and foster innovation. The team is leading initiatives to develop a data strategy and establish consistent data governance and data management practices at Deloitte Global, enabled by technology. The team reports to the Global Chief Information Officer under the Technology Strategy and Architecture function.

The salary range for this position is $104,000 - $215,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
