Hourly rate of pay:
$33.82
Hours:
Monday to Friday; 8:00am to 3:30pm

Key Responsibilities:
- Process biweekly payroll for all salaried and hourly employees across all entities.
- Create and maintain payroll profiles for all employees.
- Import payroll journal entry into Sage.
- Ensure all wage changes are made accurately and in time for effected pay periods
- Stay current with Payroll regulations, standards and work methods
- Process monthly benefits and pension remittance reports
- Process monthly Union dues remittance reports
- Process remittance for WorkSafeBC quarterly and annually
- File and pay Employer Health Tax
- Submit withholding taxes through Payworks and reconcile payments with amounts recorded on Sage
- Prepare T4's and T2200's annually for employees
- Prepare other tax forms as required
- Process all monthly employee expense reports and issue cheques
- Backup for Accounts Payable for various entities
- Backup daily deposits
- Other duties as required
Education and Experience:
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certificate required with a minimum of 1 year experience.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar accounting position preferred
- Payroll experience required within a multi entity organization
- Working knowledge of union hour bank systems an asset.
- Accounts receivable and payable experience an asset.
- Working knowledge of Sage 300 an asset.
- Working knowledge of Payworks is an asset
- Active membership with the Canadian Payroll Association is an asset
Requirements:
- Strong understanding and knowledge of Payroll legislation and procedures.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Solid knowledge of basic accounting mandatory.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Capable of working with others in a team environment.
- Ability to streamline and document processes.
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Resourceful and flexible.
