Data Entry Assistant - Vancouver, Canada - Rocky Mountainer
Description
Purpose
As the Data Entry Assistant, you will work on entering significant amounts of data into our Reservations System, Microsoft Excel as well as our other systems and databases.
Key Areas of Accountability
- Transfer data from source formats into computer files or database systems (ex. reservation system or sales tools)
- Gather and organize information to be entered into the computer, prioritizing entries
- Verify data by comparing it to source documents
- Update existing data on Microsoft Excel
- Update existing bookings with correct amendments as requested
- Sort and organize source documents after entering data to ensure information is not lost
- Support the company in data entry and other administrative tasks; as required
Qualifications:
Education / Certifications / Knowledge
- High school diploma, GED, or other equivalent
- Basic understanding of databases
- Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office; Word Excel etc.)
- Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
Skills:
- Fast Typing Speed
- Basic Software Knowledge
- Proficiency in Basic Formulas in Microsoft Excel is an asset
- Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Attention to Detail
- Organizational and Timemanagement Skills
- Basic Research and Data Collection Skills
- Basic Knowledge of Database Structure
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information
