Tynehead Animal Hospital is a small animal facility located in Surrey. We are looking to build our team with compassionate, hardworking, dedicated and personable individuals.

We require people who have exposure or experience with handling small animals, are dependable, can multitask and can build a rapport with clients.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Meeting and greeting clients, taking phone calls, booking appointments, and working with our online software training will be provided.
• Checking in/out patients, OTC sales, dispensing medications and explaining homecare instructions at checkout.
• Helping the veterinarians in handling patients during exams, procedures, Xrays, surgeries, and sample collection.
• Caring for hospitalized pets. This includes feeding, walking, and grooming.
• Maintaining a clean working environment in the hospital, which requires disinfection of the premises during the day, as well as during opening/closing.
• Making surgery packs, sterilizing equipment, laundry, and patient monitoring during surgeries.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

• Compassion for animals and commitment to caring for them is foremost, we are willing to train the right person.
• Excellent communication, computer, and phone skills.
• A strong attention to detail, work ethic, and professionalism
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Available to work weekday and weekend shifts in rotation.
