JOB SUMMARY
Support the
BIMManager and our Project Delivery Teams to execute the day-to-day development, new design and maintenance of existing Revit Families.
The
BIMInventor Modeler is required to utilize strong computer CAD/BIM and technical skills to produce 3D Inventor models required for model and drawing production, quality checking and control, coordination, and constructability analysis.
Health & Safety:
- Works in compliance with the Health & Safety Act and regulations including using any equipment, protective devices or clothing required.
- Reports any known workplace hazards or violations of the Act to the supervisor.
Technical / Function-Specific:
- Support the
BIMManager and Project Delivery Team(s) in daytoday BIM/Inventor activities. - Develop and maintain Autodesk Inventor models as required
- Ensure coordination of all Model interfaces with designers
- Ensure all Models deliverables are checked to comply with project, company quality standards and
BIMrequirements. - Ensure Inventor read outs and BOM complies with rulesets established.
- Preform regular Quality review of Inventor files and Revit content
- Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis
- Coordinate work with
BIMManager, including taking responsibility for timely completion of deliverables.
Internal / External Customer Service:
- Work closely with designers and internal customers in providing a high quality service provision
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO SUCCESSFULLY OPERATE IN THE ROLE
Education:
- Diploma in Engineering, Architecture or similar field.
- Inventor Certified
- 35 years of experience in Inventor.
- 12 years of experience in Revit.
- Project management
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Highly proficient in Autodesk Inventor
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Beneficial software skills:
- Autodesk, Revit, etc
- Knowledge of the manufacturing process
- Ability to be engaged in multiple projects at one time is essential.
- Strong organizational, time and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Resourceful, with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Map existing workflows and recommend technology solutions to support or improve these workflows
