How you will do it:
- Receive, update and complete assigned preventative and demand maintenance works orders within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) QFM.
- Respond to and rectify assigned tasks in general facility services, equipment repair, HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning), plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry.
- Source, plan and organized required tools and materials for daytoday task and projects
- Use building prints, schematics and other available documents while troubleshooting system failures and work requests.
- Solid understanding of building systems with an ability to operate a variety of hand tools and machines.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and aligns with all company policies.
What we look for:
Required:
- Completion of a twoyear technical degree or equivalent plus 5 years' experience in a Facility Maintenance environment.
- Building systems knowledge including troubleshooting, repair and replacement etc.
- Requires indepth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to look after service and repairs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently on tasks and as part of a team.
- Working and operating knowledge of computers as well as Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, word, excel)
- Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, operate machinery, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs, etc.
- Flexible schedule (including night shifts), weekends and holidays on a rotational shift schedule.
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Strong customer service skills
Preferred:
- Experience working in a health care setting
- Experience with painting and interior finish work
- Experience with wheeled equipment repair and maintenance
- Plumbing experience/license
- Electrical experience/license
- Lock smithing experience
