What you will do

As the Business Support Analyst, you support all areas of Corporate Security Services, delivering financial and administrative support services to the CSS business lines.

You act as a liaison between the internal client, in some cases vendors, and other departments, working with areas such as Accounts Payable in the Financial Services Department and Procurement Services in the Executive and Legal Services Department to resolve issues related to contract management, purchase requisitions, accounts payable, expense reports, reimbursements, etc.


Specifically, you will be:

  • Coordinating the invoice workflow by verifying invoices against accounting entries; investigating invoice issues with internal clients and/or vendors; working with Accounts Payable for all invoice processing; issuing release orders (RO) in SAP and associated amendments for all Bank locations for Corporate Security and Facilities Services; managing the requisition process, ensuring the RO is authorized per the Financial Authorities Framework (FAF) and coded correctly; verifying and validating quotes and contract information; and ensuring setup in accordance with annual planned costs
- manage departmental purchase order (DPO) transactions and logs them in compliance with the procurement policy
- maintain collaborative relations with internal clients and external counterparts to support operational objectives

  • Triaging a busy centralized inbox for the Business Support Group

What you need to succeed
- advanced knowledge of SAP financial and procurement modules
- functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- knowledge of Sharepoint
- ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment, handling multiple priorities simultaneously
- organizational skills to track, manage and prioritize work
- analytical skills to perform financial analyses, track expenditures, and reconcile purchase orders, invoices and contracts
- knowledge of purchase orders/release orders and how they tie into contracts
- ability to provide backup general administrative support to the department


Assets
- ability to work in a matrix environment and to facilitate innovation and change in a dynamic organization
- knowledge and understanding of Bank policies and processes related to invoicing, purchase and release orders, procurement, etc.


Your education and experience
university degree or college diploma in commerce or other relevant field with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

  • Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language. Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.

For the majority of employees, it is expected that onsite time will range from 5 to 10 days per month, depending on your role. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
