Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Monitor:
The Eastern Irrigation District (EID), Brooks, Alberta, seeks a seasonal Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Monitor.
The AIS Monitor will be responsible for leading and assisting with all aspects of the Eastern Irrigation District's AIS Prevention & Monitoring Program including inspecting watercraft for aquatic invasive species, educating the public about aquatic invasive species, and collaborating with local enforcement agencies.
The individual must have a broad set of qualifications and skills, including, but not limited to:
- currently enrolled or recent graduate in environmental sciences, conservation enforcement, biology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- strong organizational skills with the ability and willingness to work independently;
- strong interpersonal communication skills; and
- a valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License.
