Resource Traveling Wind Turbine Technician II – 100% Travel – Canada (Bilingual: French & English)

Join Vestas as a Resource Traveling Wind Turbine Technician II. This role requires 100% travel across Canada and is fully bilingual. The position is hourly, with potential earnings exceeding $100,000 CAD per year, including overtime, travel and supplemental earnings.

We offer a $3,300 CAD sign‑on bonus (subject to eligibility). With the Global Wind Organization (GWO) certifications – Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), and Advanced Rescue Training (ART) – you are already ahead. Position Overview

As a Resource Technician, you will support wind energy operations across multiple sites and projects—whether assisting with service work or construction efforts. Your skills and adaptability are essential to keep teams equipped and projects on track, delivering reliable clean energy to communities nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain wind turbines with your team.
• Travel to different sites, work with diverse teams, and manage travel logistics and cost coding.
• Conduct safety inspections and ensure a secure working environment.
• Address complex problems with effective self‑management.
• Work on construction and installation projects, overseeing the full life cycle of turbines.
• Expose to a wide range of turbine platforms, site conditions, and team environments—ideal for technicians who thrive on variety and continuous learning.

Who You Are

• At least 6 months with a Wind Technician certificate, or 1 year of wind turbine experience, or 2 years in mechanical or electrical fields.
• Highly developed problem‑solving abilities and an engaged approach to responsibilities.
• Safety‑conscious and committed to best practices.
• Able to work well with others and enjoy collaborative environments.
• Physically fit, comfortable working in various conditions and at heights.
• Can speak, read, and follow instructions in French and English.
• High school diploma (graduation certificate or equivalent), valid driver's license, and legal authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Physical Demands

• Ability to climb stairs and vertical ladders up to 60–100 meters; may supervise work in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lb.
• Ability to complete training and obtain certifications in required safety programs, including LOTO, electrical qualification, fall arrest & high‑angle rescue & emergency descent, and confined space.
• Ability to participate successfully in all training courses, including controlled descent practical exercises.
• Equipment weight limits: combined weight of employee, required PPE, and gear must not exceed 300 lb; PPE may weigh up to 40 lb.
