Cadillac Fairview's Early Talent Leadership Rotational Program provides participants with coaching, accelerated learning and exciting work experience as they launch their commercial real estate career.

Participants will gain hands on experience in Retail Leasing, Operations Services and Property Management, while developing exceptional leadership capabilities, business acumen and industry knowledge.


About the Program:


  • Participants will be placed in three 12month customized roles to accelerate development, experience and skills in commercial real estate.
  • Associates are paired with a senior coach to support them with accelerated leadership skill development throughout the program.
  • Participants will be encouraged to build their brand through involvement with real estate industry associations and networking events.
  • Exposure to Operations senior leadership team in social and work settings.
  • Associates will start the program in June of 2024

What you will deliver:


In the Retail Leasing rotations, you will:

  • Support leasing retail spaces in one of Canada's premier shopping centres (e.g., CF Toronto Eaton Centre).
  • Develop an understanding of the marketplace and begin to formulate recommendations to the Leasing Team on which retail trends could be a fit for each property.
  • Provide financial analysis and prepare business cases in order to prepare deals that require senior management review and approval.
  • Conduct research to identify new clients and support leasing team in securing new clients or satisfying expansion/renewal requirements for existing clients.
  • Participate in endtoend process for temporary leasing space and lead lease negotiations.

In the Property Management rotations, you will:

  • Support a Capital Project, including tendering, managing scope, budget and timelines.
  • Review and understand Consumer and Market Insight, Client Intelligence and Competitor Knowledge to identify emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Participate in accounting processes to gain knowledge and understanding of recoverable/nonrecoverable expense accounting, forecasting and accruals, revenue coordination, and reporting.
  • Understand active municipal issues impacting property management. Outwardly engage with community partners (networking evets, BIA, RealPAC, political/municipal).
  • Participate in property budgeting cycle and process.

In the Operations Services rotations, you will:

  • Manage optimizing day-to-day property operations, facility performance, operating processes; and support deployment of strategic initiatives to drive operating efficiency and evolving client expectations and experiences across CF properties.
  • Maintain property operations standards that ensure cost efficiency, consistency and CF Brand performance expectations.
  • Participate in national programs that support daytoday operations and continuous improvement of processes, including the contact centre, technology and business process support to property teams, and support for head office facilities.
  • Support procurement and supplier management through contract management, onboarding, performance management, and strategic partnering.

Where you will go from here:

Upon completion of the 3-year program, participants will move into a key role reflecting the accelerated skills and experiences gained in commercial real estate.
