  • The Opportunity

    As an AssociateInsurance Advisor in the CommercialInsuranceDivision , you will provide exceptional administrative support for the Commercial Sales Team. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a strong attention to detail to join our Burnaby Still Creek location in a Regular Full-Time position

    Our Burnaby Still Creek head office location is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park near Brentwood Town Centre. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

    The Responsibilities

  • Delivers exceptional customer experience to internal and external customers
  • Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by supporting Account Executive/Account Manager and Marketer with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts
  • Acts as primary Customer Service Contact in the absence of Account Executive/Account Manager
  • Responds to customer requests directly, submits information to appropriate insurance companies and binds coverage where appropriate
  • Prepares proposals, rate sheets, customer correspondence, certificates, and invoices as per agency standards
  • Prepares cover notes on accounts marketed by production team
  • Processes all documentation according to Hub workflows
  • Assists Account Executive/Account Manager with managing Account Receivables
  • Reviews and manages Account Reconciliation with Accounting Team
  • Reviews and prioritizes all assigned tasks on a daily basis including company mail, emails, abeyances/activities
  • Reviews and ensures accuracy of policy documentation from insurers
  • The Requirements

  • Level 2 General Insurance License
  • Industry experience, preferably a minimum of two years working in a commercial insurance division
  • Client service focused with exceptional client service skills
  • Excellent insurance product knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate strong initiative and sense of urgency to get things done
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Asset experience that will make you stand out:

  • Industry designation an asset (CIP, CAIB, CRM, General Insurance & Risk Management Diploma – BCIT)
  • EPIC, Policy Works, CSR24 and Certificate Exchange experience an asset
  • Accounting experience is an asset
