IT Quality Tech Lead Analyst - Mississauga, Canada - Citi

Responsibilities:
- Be Automation advocate & encourage team to do follow automation first approach. Make sure Automation standards and processes are followed by team members. Make sure peer/lead review is happening for code quality and functional completeness.
- Functionally test new products and regression test existing products during each QA release cycle.
- Collaborate with Development, Business and Support teams to clarify specs, raise issues/concerns and identify risks throughout the software development life cycle.
- Write efficient and effective test cases and test scripts based upon specification documents and business user interactions as well as create test scenarios based on understanding of systems in order to regression test, test new functionality and stress conditions (both automated and manual).
- Able to implement and drive test automation with mínimal guidance.
- Work towards continuous integration and automate test cases as the functionality is being tested.
- Follows industry quality trends; applies to current environment as appropriate. Interacts with various levels of management; communicates technology level process changes.
- Ensures project standards and procedures exist, are fully clearly documented and followed throughout the software development life cycle; makes recommendations for enhanced documentation.
- Requires indepth understanding of how own area integrates within IT Quality and has basic commercial awareness.
- Monitors products for conformance to standards; monitors processes for conformance to procedures; identifies risks; ensures annual organizational reviews of standards and procedures are conducted.
- Documents findings and performs root cause analyses. Recommends solutions and improvements to existing standards and procedures; collaborates with other areas in technology to develop new standards and procedures.
- Ensures all corrective actions are assigned, documented and completed.
- Verifies traceability in project work products.
- Gathers, maintains and reports on quality metrics.
- Acts as advisor and mentor for junior members of the team.
- Performs other duties and functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 815 years of experience in an IT Quality role. Ability to work independently or within groups on projects assigned
- Requires indepth knowledge, understanding and analytical thought. Exhibits comprehensive knowledge of several areas within IT Quality and has a good understanding of the industry.
- Strong understanding of testing processes. In depth understanding of the Systems Development Lifecycle and solid experience in several phases of systems development, preferably in testing program management. Must demonstrate confidence in their abilities
- Demonstrated logical analysis skills, attention to detail and problemsolving Proven ability to work to deadlines.
- Expertise with programming languages like Java, JS, Python, Cucumber, etc.
- Development experience in a fastpaced, timetomarket driven environment Experience with test automation, test scenario and test scripts creation and modification. Comfortable with writing complex queries
- Exposure to reporting tools. Hands on experience with test automation tools.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal soft skill set. Requires communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
