Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) is a state-of-the-art regional hospital with a proud local history extending back over a century.

Reporting to the Director, Capital Planning & Development, the Construction Coordinator will support the execution and closure of assigned capital projects within approved schedules.

This position will provide guidance and support to the project team and interface with contractors and PRHC staff, physicians, and volunteers.


  • Diploma or undergraduate degree in a relevant field (i.e., Business, Trades, etc.)
  • OR Professional certifications with working experience
  • Minimum five (5) years recent experience in the health care construction sector
  • Previous involvement in supporting capital projects (i.e., new construction, retrofit, ICAT implementation).
  • General knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Ministry of Labour Regulations, CSA Standards, Ontario Building Code and Fire Code.
  • Broad understanding of all construction disciplines and general construction practices.
  • General knowledge of construction in a hospital environment/occupied space.
  • Strong team building skills to achieve organizational goals; communicates with and motivates a team to achieve results.
  • Strong facilitating and negotiation skills to resolve conflict.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required to adjust to and meet unpredictable deadlines or changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with medical/ administrative staff at various levels at PRHC and consulting professionals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

$39.84-$46.87 per hour
