Job Description Summary:
The Supplier Quality Inspector demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives.

In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.


  • Implication in ITO (tender) process and fully involved in OTR (Order to Remittance) process
  • Twoin team with sourcing / One face at supplier and internally all along project execution (Quality & Technical)
  • Perform Inspection / Expediting / Surveillance at supplier
  • Lead Databook (Final Inspection Report) completion

  • Effectuer l'inspection/l'expédition/la surveillance chez le fournisseur
  • Achèvement du livre de données principal (rapport d'inspection final)

Accountabilities / Responsivities:

Overall

  • Manage supplier Inspection activities to ensure the quality of assigned Commodity components.
  • Be the technical focal point to coordinate Sourcing, Design & Materials Management functions while interfacing with suppliers.
  • Drive consistency and adherence to quality procedures and specification requirements
  • From Order to Delivery oriented fully accountable of quality & technical topics
  • Manage inspection to be performed along part manufacturing (including Customer inspection)
  • Ensure the inspections are performed according to Design requirements and issue the respective inspection and test reports.
  • Ensure the inspection & test records against the requirements and send them to the data book as soon as the inspection and tests is performed and finished.
  • Review preliminary documents and built the product quality data book. Prepare product quality documents focus on customer requirement
  • Drive continuous improvement of supplier's quality, cycle, and delivery performance
  • Manage supplier nonconformance and Deviation activities (SDR / NCR); identify and drive process improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation

  • Drive continuous improvement of supplier's quality, cycle, and delivery performance

  • Conduct process capability analysis for Critical to Quality (CTQ) characteristics. Work with suppliers to improve process capability
  • Support Sourcing Quality and cost out initiatives
  • Be involved into claim management process (ensure that all data needed for claim are available and relevant to launch recovery program)

  • On time Inspection (%)
  • Control on Escape Defect Level
  • Supplier Action plan / Mitigation plan progress
  • Defective inspection (%)
- % of late NCR ́s per supplier / RPN risk priority number


Educational Requirements:


Qualification:


  • Engineering Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Field.
  • Experience in fabrication/welding Commodity.
  • Fluent English and French.

Eligibility:


  • Ability and willingness to travel locally, domestically, and internationally, as required (>80%).

Knowledge / Experience:


  • Experience in manufacturing process and inspection of critical welded structures.
  • Supplier development in fabrication/welding area, knowledge WPS/PQR & process validation.
  • NDT certification
  • Office software (Excel, Power Point )

  • Knowledge of international standard (such as ASME/ISO/DIN e.g).
