As the Corporate Finance Leader, Long Range Financial Plan you will be responsible for providing overall leadership in the implementation of the Long Range Financial Plan Program.

You will support service plans and budgets for new cycle development and adjustments.


Primary duties include:

  • Lead the periodic update of the Long Range Financial Plan.
  • Lead the development, monitoring and reporting of benchmarks, targets, and performance measures specific to the Long Range Financial Plan.
  • Oversee the preparation of corporate reports and presentations for the Executive Leadership Team and Council.
  • Provide long term financial planning support and guidance to business units and strategic projects.
  • Provide support for the development of multiyear service plans and budgets, and annual adjustments.

Qualifications
***A related degree plus a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or similar financial designation. A graduate degree will be considered an asset.

  • At least 10 years of related financial planning experience in progressively more responsible positions, preferably in large multifaceted organizations.
  • Experience in a leadership capacity will be considered an asset.
  • Experience in municipal government will be considered an asset.
  • Solid strategic leadership and management capability to achieve results that are aligned with organizational goals, nurturing an environment to strengthen the workplace, political acumen and exceptional communication skills.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate staff to achieve results in an environment of significant change and shifting priorities.
  • Superior analytical and decisionmaking skills, focused on an assessment of risks and opportunities, with proven ability to achieve compliance with difficult and/or unpopular decisions.
  • Strong customer focus is required as well as the ability to build relationships with business clients and colleagues.
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
