Hoft Home is looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team in Vancouver, BC.
Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for the daily operations of the company's accounting and financial records.
The Bookkeeper will maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare bank deposits, prepare and reconcile invoices, review and analyze financial reports, prepare payroll, manage expense reports, and maintain financial records.
The Bookkeeper will communicate with vendors, customers, and employees to resolve issues or provide information necessary for the smooth operation of the company's accounting system.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Prepare bank deposits and record deposits in the general ledger
- Prepare invoices in accordance with established procedures
- Review financial reports to ensure that all information is accurate and complete
- Ensure that all employees are paid their correct paychecks on a weekly basis
- Maintain accurate financial records including but not limited to: accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and related documents
- Manage expense reports to ensure expenses are paid accurately and timely
- Communicate with customers, vendors, and employees to resolve issues or provide information necessary for the smooth operation of the company's accounting system.
- Maintain confidentiality of all company files as required by applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary:
$18.57-$29.94 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Vancouver, BC V6A 1T3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- QuickBooks: 1 year (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
- English (preferred)
