Administrative Full-time Temporary Contract Position (Two Year Contract)


Reporting to the Chair, Seniors Care, the Project Development Officer plays a pivotal role in preparing, coordinating, and participating in the implementation of project activity for the Cowan Foundation Project.

Working collaboratively with Conestoga's academic administration, the Project Development Officer contributes to, compiles, and coordinates projects that align with Conestoga/Cowan priorities in the School of Health & Life Sciences.

The Project Development Officer will participate in other engagement activities to develop, build, and maintain academic and community partnerships.


Responsibilities:


  • Support and maintain tracking of deliverables, processes and procedures in order to maximize the relationship with Conestoga/Cowan partnership
  • Support the Chair in maintaining an information system of deliverables to be shared internally with college stakeholders, and externally with potential partners as appropriate
  • Work with collegewide departments to align with established processes and resources, ensuring that all projects meet Conestoga standards, and deliverables are met within specified timelines
  • Under the supervision of the Chair, track and maintain the programspecific marketing budget to ensure financial deliverables are on track
  • In collaboration with marketing, student recruitment, and career services; coordinate activities related to Personal Support Worker role advocacy and student recruitment; including resource planning, marketing, social media and recruitment strategy
  • Develop and deliver and recruitment events for Personal Support Worker and associated programming, presentations and calling campaigns throughout the Conestoga Catchment area

Qualifications:


  • Fouryear degree in Business, Humanities, Health or relevant field
  • Mimimun of three years of experience in a projectbased role with a demonstrated track record supporting projects is required
  • Experience with financial management and project management in a college setting is an asset
  • Social media marketing experience in connecting directly with a variety of audiences is an asset
  • Experience working with industry and institutional partnerships with the ability to develop and maintain an effective network of research and projectrelated contacts
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral presentation to different audiences) are essential
  • Experience in facilitating collaboration with stakeholders to achieve project goals is required, including project planning, budgets, and evaluation
  • A selfstarter with a proactive attitude who can anticipate needs
  • Well organized with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities simultaneously and effectively within tightly prescribed timelines and meeting all criteria
  • Strong capacity for attention to detail is essential
  • Ability to think and act strategically to assess and mitigate risk, and to resolve complex problems with good judgement and diplomacy
  • Experience preparing quarterly and annual reports for external audiences is an asset
  • Interest and passion for enhancing the quality of life and care for older adults
  • Access to reliable means of transportation is required
