Role description:
Full time hire required to aid in landscape installations by performing the following duties:

  • Soft landscaping including
- tree, turf, shrub and perennial installations,

  • Perform customer service, e.g., interact with clients, meet with general public, etc.
  • Operate and maintain horticultural equipment such as Bobcat, Kubota tractor, etc.
  • Help in establishment of a tree farm
  • Some arbourist work in early spring and late fall
  • Some snow removal in winter

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Safe operation and maintenance of trucks, trailers and horticultural tools
  • Plant identification skills
  • Customer service skills including thorough cleanup of work sites
  • Dependable, reliable, efficient and hardworking
  • Strict and consistent adherence to safety policies
  • Driver's license and own transportation required

Required Education:

  • High school education with some postsecondary education, ideally Horticulture Diploma, LGAP, or equivalent
  • Previous horticultural experience
  • LANTA-CLT Certification would be ideal, but is not required
  • 23 years experience in landscaping
  • Irrigation experience

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
$15.00-$20.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Experience:

- landscaping: 2 years (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Drivers license (preferred)
