Mechanical Assembler - Woodbridge, Canada - Next Employment
Description
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Able to read and understand production assembly drawings
- Able to use power tools such as angle grinders, sanders, and drills
- Able to use hand tools such as hammers, mallets, and chisels
- Able to measure, cut, grind, sand, and chisel
- Able to accurately and precisely assemble precut components to meet the assembly drawing specifications
- Able to use model template fixtures to create the specified corner angles, lengths, widths, and heights to meet the specifications of the assembly drawings
- Must have a good mechanical aptitude and be detailoriented
- Must be quality conscious
- Must have a professional demeanor and good work ethic
- Able to work efficiently both independently and as a team.
- Travelling may be required
Qualifications:
Mechanical Assembly: 1 year (preferred)
Mechanical knowledge and dexterity require
Good verbal and written communication skills
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specification
Able to safely operate hand and power tool
Able to work with mínimal supervision High school diploma with college related background or equivalent technical training preferred
Salary:
$18.00-$25.00 per hour
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Mechanical assembly: 2 years (preferred)
- Blueprint reading: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class G Licence (preferred)
