Position Title:
Traffic/Bin Spotter

Reports To:
Site Supervisor

Responsibilities:

In the position of Spotter, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act.
Complete understanding of the required hand signals for spotting vehicles
Spotting all required vehicles to the recycle bins or transfer as required
Providing exceptional customer service such as providing directions, answering questions and unloading of material
General housekeeping duties, yard clean up, (i.e. snow shoveling, sweeping, litter cleanup)
Punctual with good attendance
Inspect and remove obvious contamination from loads
You will be required to fill in for any vacations or sick calls for all other called upon responsibilities
Ensure you aware of and always work within MWS's safety Guidelines/Health

and Safety Regulations/Policies and Comply with ISO procedures & Standard

Operating Procedures

Liaise with other supervisors, drivers, contractors and Regional staff in a

professional and team-oriented manner

Highly developed organizational and team building skills
Operation of equipment (Bobcat)

Requirements:

Must possess excellent entrepreneurial, verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
Heavy lifting (up to 50lbs) required, standing for long periods of time and exposure to different weather elements
Good understanding of hand and spotting signals
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with attention to detail
You must be a team player, with demonstrated safe working habits and a good attendance record.
Outstanding customer service is a key.
You may be required to work extended hours and on stat holidays, Sundays are also a must
Previous machine operation experience not required, but as asset.
