About the Role

We are a high-volume, well-established retail tax office in Spruce Grove seeking an experienced Senior Tax Preparer/Reviewer to support our growing team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys retail tax, is strong technically, and takes pride in clean, well-reviewed files and clear client communication.

You will work closely with the owner and junior preparers to ensure accurate, efficient returns during personal tax season.

What You'll Do

• Review T1 personal tax returns prepared by junior staff
• Prepare more complex personal returns as needed
• Identify missing information and coach preparers
• Explain tax results clearly to clients
• Support workflow during peak season
• Help maintain strong file documentation standards
• Assist with drop-off reviews when required

What We're Looking For

Required

• 5+ years preparing/reviewing Canadian personal tax returns
• Strong understanding of common T1 issues
• Comfortable reviewing others' work
• Confident client communication skills
• Detail-oriented and efficient under volume
• Experience with TaxCycle (or similar software)

Strong Assets

• Experience in a retail tax environment
• Prior reviewer or senior role
• Bookkeeping or T2 exposure

Work Schedule

• February–April: Full-time, extended hours required
• Potential to extend to year round position with reduced hours
