Superior Boiler Works and Welding Limited was founded in 1962 with the primary business of the installation, service, and repair of boilers & pressure vessels.
Today we have evolved from a boiler & pressure vessel service company to one of the areas most respected General Mechanical Electrical contractors performing new builds and retrofits of Heating and Cooling Plants, HVAC/Refrigeration, Electrical Retrofits, Boilers, Chillers, and Cooling Towers for Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional sectors.
We have a long-standing history of providing both ongoing service and contracting within several municipalities, school boards, healthcare, and industrial steel-making facilities.
Through our TSSA, ASME, and National Board approved quality control program we provide maintenance repair, and manufacturing of large complex assemblies, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boilers & boiler parts.

Key Responsibilities:_
- Purchase materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and services.
- Further develop reliable procurement and material control policies, procedures, and systems in support of material identification, purchase requisitioning, receiving, storage, and production.
- Ensure timely, costeffective product acquisition and delivery plans/schedules.
- Responsible for sourcing suppliers, and service providers, and negotiating terms and conditions.
- Establish account/credit terms with new and existing vendors, suppliers, and distributors.
- Arrange product shipping and pickup including all import/export related documentation.
- Full collaboration with managers, supervisors, site superintendents, other site staff, etc. on product requirements.
- Coordinate delivery and expediting of goods and services.
- Invite tenders, consult with suppliers, and review quotations.
- Provide pricing to the estimating team and assist with closing estimates.
- Conduct detailed RFQ analysis as well as a detailed review of cost breakdowns.
- Identify requirements in the Prime Contract applicable to all vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure sourced subcontractors meet the company's COR (Certificate of Recognition) standards.
- Manage any legal related vendor, supplier, and subcontractor claim(s).
- Work within the company's Quality Control Manual.
- All other purchasing and procurement duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:_
- Postsecondary degree with a Supply Chain Purchasing Management designation.
- 10+ years of purchasing experience within the construction and fabrication industries.
- Exceptional process and product knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and general construction items/services.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing related laws and regulations within Canada and US markets.
- Proficient using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, One Drive, and Sage ERP.
- Knowledge of Procore and Accubid Anywhere would be an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Strong negotiation and research skills.
- Ability to lead and build positive working relationships as an individual and as a member of a team.
Salary:
$30.84-$55.72 per hour
