About the role
We're looking for a
Property Unit Claims Manager to join our growing team

What you'll do here:

Provide leadership and manage the operations to achieve key business goals including communicating corporate vision, and values.
Drive results by implementing appropriate performance expectations and management through effectively coaching and mentoring employees.
Develop and recommend organizational initiatives to support company strategies including changes to process or technology improvements.
Audit staff files and provide feedback and/or training as determined. When required, establish controls based on audit findings.
Act in a consultative and advisory capacity on claims matters such as: policy interpretation and settlement negotiation to help resolve claimsrelated issues.
Provide effective leadership by continuously keeping staff informed of changes or new directions and share responsibility for the overall productivity and engagement of team members.
Communicate with other claims experts on technical and administrative issues.
Maintain a respectful and productive business relationship with vendors, service providers, and internal client groups.
Ensure that corporate policies, claims standards, and procedures are being followed.

What you bring to the table

Minimum 2 years leadership experience and effective coaching of employees.
Strong knowledge of the claims process and policy interpretation.
Excellent computer skills and knowledge.
Superior communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff.
Commitment toward ongoing selfdevelopment.
Ability to focus on what is important, be curious and ask why.
A cando attitude.
