Dance Co, a prominent multiple location Dance Studio in Vancouver, is looking for some fresh faces in our office We have recently opened our brand new - state of the art studio
Do you have a passion for dance? We are looking for someone to work in our dance studio office helping with customer service and administration assistance.
Responsibilities include customer service for our clients, studio upkeep to ensure a positive overall client experience, as well as administrative support and coordination within our office team.
Other duties including assisting to plan our in-house events (i.e. recital).This position will also provide the opportunity to grow within our business as you build on your knowledge and skills.
Required Availability:
Spring Break/Majority of Summer, shifts range from 8:00am - 4:00pm to 12:00pm - 8:00pm depending on the day
- Monday to Friday
Rest of the season:
Tuesday - Friday 1:30pm - 9:30pm; Saturdays 10:00am - 6:00pm
School Closures:
Christmas Break (2 weeks) Stat Holidays
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer service handle customer concerns in a timely manner
- Work with the admin team to manage event projects through to fruition
- Assist with the flow of students/teachers to and from studios
- Assist in the safe welcoming of students into the studio and ensuring the safe handoff back to their parents/guardians
- Ongoing registration: Recreational classes, competitive programs, spring/summer camps, adult classes
- Stay up to date on the goings on of the studio to be able to answer questions quickly and accurately
- Work with the wardrobe department and the administration team to assist with measurements of students for costumes
- Attend/Supervise rehearsals and performances
- Assist with planning & attend all "Dance Co" rehearsals/performances
- Be fully versed in the retail store so be able to assist and help clients with purchases
Qualifications:
- Retail & customer service experience required
- Assets: Dance experience, Mandarin/Cantonese as a second language
- Full availability during special events (i.e. recitals and performances)
- Good organizational skills with a focus on accuracy
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment and multitask
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, able to build good supportive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- Enjoys working and interacting with children
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office + Google Drive
- A passion and knowledge of dance is a bonus, but not entirely necessary
- Flexible attitude towards duties and working patterns in order to fulfill the requirements of the role
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time
Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour
