Role:


  • Support an Occupational Therapist in helping patients with physical, sensory, or cognitive areas of
  • Provide handson patient care and service to facilitate treatment and rehabilitation
  • Assists clients in care activities as assigned by the Occupational Therapist
  • Implement treatment plans and help patients perform therapeutic activities
  • Monitor and document patients' progress, attitudes, and behavior
  • Other duties assigned by the OT or supervisor

Requirements:


  • An Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA/PTA) diploma from an accredited Ontario college
  • Valid work permit (if applicable)
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • Uptodate Immunization Records (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, Hep B, Covid19)
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to follow client care plan accordingly
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Excellent patient service skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is considered an asset
