Purchasing Clerk; Junior Buyer - Toronto, Canada - GAV MGMT
Description
The Purchasing clerk, junior buyer will be responsible for placing purchase orders with the supplier while working to obtain the best overall value for the company.
The Buyer will also be responsible to analyze and evaluate material requirements and maintain acceptable inventory levels on set items.
Track, monitor and maintain purchase order schedules and ETA's. Arrange inventory deliveries in support of date requirements. Strong Data entry and communication skills are required.Monitoring and updating vendor records and inventory items; process and communicate price changes as applicable.
Resolve invoice discrepancies with internal and external parties in a timely manner.
Forecast demand and determine best ordering strategies.
Maintain strong internal and external relationships.
Responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating new suppliers for goods as well as securing material from new and existing suppliers for maximum cost efficiency while working closely with all departments to ensure company standards.
