Fairleigh Dickinson University Vancouver Campus offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs to almost 1000 mostly international students. We provide students with a personalized, supportive environment, small classes, and strong student academic support. FDUV is located in downtown Vancouver at two locations in Yaletown. FDUV programs are professionally oriented and build on the over 75-year history of FDU campuses in New Jersey. FDU is a private, not for profit university accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and holds the Education Quality Assurance (EQA) designation for public and private institutions in B.C. that meet or exceed quality assurance standards set by the province of B.C.


The Lecturer of Human Resource Management excels in teaching, especially project-based learning and supports student advising, engages in university service, has professional networks and experiences to support a project-based approach to education of professionals. This is a renewable position in the School of Public and Global Affairs and, with proper credentials, can be converted to tenure-track.


Responsibilities:


  • Teach in the FDUV Master of Administrative Sciences program. A full load is 8 classes per year.
  • Support professional staff by advising and mentoring students.
  • Maintain academic or professional qualifications and currency in their discipline.
  • Participate in University service at various levels.
  • Build and maintain academic and professional networks to support scholarship, teaching, and student placement.

Required Qualifications:
1. Ph.
D.

or other appropriate terminal degree preferred, from an accredited university and in an area relevant to teaching and research expertise.

ABD and other appropriate degrees will be considered.

Ability to teach, supported by graduate coursework, in one of the following fields:
Global Health and Human Services


  • Professional experience at the supervisory level in one of the areas above is desired.
  • Teaching experience, preferably at the graduate level.
  • A commitment to reconciliation and gender equity.
