RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Produce integrated technical drawings and design documents for the electrical and instrumentation scope;
  • Draft, prepare, produce and assemble documents, electrical and instrumentation engineering work packages, scopes of work and drawings to execute the work as directed and reviewed by engineers or designers;
  • Draft and produce technical schematics, specifications, cross sections, and drawings to illustrate visual instructions that relate to technical specifications and other project specific requirements;
  • Prepare master sketches to raise developed relation of proposed installations for current facilities and precise specifications and dimensions;
  • Coordinate the collection of data and incorporate this information into drawings, and schematics;
  • Draft, design and produce schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, electrical systems, singleline diagrams, layout and elevation diagrams and drawings per engineering, VTEK standards and project direction;
  • Perform calculations for layouts and design to quantify factors affecting arrangement and installation of items such as calculating equipment and material requirements against site and design criteria;
  • Work with engineers, architects, owners, and technicians to determine project specifications and functional requirements, including safety and operational preferences and incorporate into the drawings;
  • Draft singleline diagrams (SLDs), area classification drawings, electrical layouts, JB wiring diagrams, motor/variable frequency drive (VFD) schematics, cable schedules, electrical heat trace (EHT) isometrics, etc.;
  • Complete design changes, general arrangement drawing production, redlining, plotting, and drafting using CAD;
  • Analyze surveys, field notes, maps, photographs, and other materials to identify potential project constraints and the best approach in developing and completing projects on time and on budget;
