Profile
We are currently recruiting for a
Quality Assurance Technician - Calibration to join our team in
Victoria, BC.

The primary purpose of this role will be to control all monitoring and measuring devises, perform in-house calibrations, and maintain a system of continuous improvements in the Calibration Lab.

Duties & Responsibilities

Creating, maintaining, and updating Calibration records and procedures
Updating, monitoring, and maintaining the company Calibration Recall System to ensure that all instruments are controlled and meet all standards
Arranging for all tools to be sent to Approved Vendors for "out of house" calibration
Respond and address Corrective Action Reports related to Calibration in the appropriate corrective action system
Develop, implement, and document calibration random spot check audits
Support training department in measurement equipment related training

Education & Experience
years' experience in calibration duties would be considered an asset.

Certified Calibration Technician is preferred

years in a documentation control capacity preferred

2 years postsecondary education in a related field
Experience in the aerospace industry would be considered an asset
Strong technical background with the desire to increase knowledge
Familiarity with library processes and documentation control systems preferred

Skills

Solid understanding of the theory of metrology and traceable calibration
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimum of supervision and direction
Extensive knowledge of MS Office products
Familiarity with Material Resource Planning software (i.e., Visual Manufacturing) is an asset
The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
