Profile
We are currently recruiting for a
Quality Assurance Technician - Calibration to join our team in
Victoria, BC.

The primary purpose of this role will be to control all monitoring and measuring devises, perform in-house calibrations, and maintain a system of continuous improvements in the Calibration Lab.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creating, maintaining, and updating Calibration records and procedures
  • Updating, monitoring, and maintaining the company Calibration Recall System to ensure that all instruments are controlled and meet all standards
  • Arranging for all tools to be sent to Approved Vendors for "out of house" calibration
  • Respond and address Corrective Action Reports related to Calibration in the appropriate corrective action system
  • Develop, implement, and document calibration random spot check audits
  • Support training department in measurement equipment related training

Education & Experience
years' experience in calibration duties would be considered an asset.

  • Certified Calibration Technician is preferred
years in a documentation control capacity preferred

  • 2 years postsecondary education in a related field
  • Experience in the aerospace industry would be considered an asset
  • Strong technical background with the desire to increase knowledge
  • Familiarity with library processes and documentation control systems preferred

Skills

  • Solid understanding of the theory of metrology and traceable calibration
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimum of supervision and direction
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office products
  • Familiarity with Material Resource Planning software (i.e., Visual Manufacturing) is an asset
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
