Key Areas of Responsibility:


Main Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive network strategy & technology roadmap in collaboration with the team. This includes the design, deployment, and maintenance of hybrid, private, and public cloud environments, along with the company's LANs, WANs, and wireless networks.
  • Configure and manage Fortinet and Meraki Hardware, including firewalls and other network security devices, to ensure the security and integrity of the network.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues related to LAN & WAN, leveraging expertise in network protocols and hardware.
  • Conduct regular network performance tests and optimizations to ensure the efficiency of LAN & WAN operations.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in LAN & WAN technologies and implement necessary upgrades and improvements.
  • Establish and implement policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity, enhancing the overall security posture.
  • Develop and manage relationships with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services. Evaluate and select vendors and service providers for network solutions as directed.
  • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
  • Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports. Identify and eliminate bottlenecks, proactively manage issues, and allocate support as necessary.
  • Manage and/or provide guidance to other members of the team. Provide recommendations to the Director, IT & Infrastructure for the creation of professional development and training plans.
  • Work with existing infrastructure that is due for an update, ensuring continued support for legacy technology during the transition period.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Cyber Security Analyst to develop an innovative Cyber Security Framework, including comprehensive cybersecurity policies aligned with industry best practices (e.g., ISO 27000 series, CIS, NIST SP 80053/171, COBIT) and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to assigned projects aimed at advancing partnership opportunities within the Digital Solutions Team and other business areas. Engage with crossfunctional stakeholders to optimize the use of network infrastructure, tools, and platforms.
  • Grasp Cloud Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and implement tools to enhance cost transparency and accountability. Implement best practices in cloud infrastructure, emphasizing Site Reliability, Observability, and Scalability.
  • Work closely with the Director, IT & Infrastructure to maintain and update the technology roadmap.
  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of WAN/LAN/DMZ/SD-WAN/etc., VPN's, TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, etc. in a distributed environment and profound knowledge of Networking Protocols/Concepts (Routing [OSPF, BGP], VLAN, Subnetting, Load balancing, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, SSH), including SD-WAN.

Qualifications:


Must Have Qualifications:


  • Experience with cloudbased network management in hybrid, private, and public cloud environments.
  • Professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent handson experience.
  • 710 years of experience in network administration, network architecture or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in network architecture and deployment, including a strong understanding of network protocols and standards (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLAN, VNet, Subnetting, Load balancing, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, SSH).
  • Experience with Fortinet Hardware, including firewalls and other network security devices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues related to LAN & WAN.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex network concepts to nontechnical team members.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to provide guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities to identify and fix network problems.
  • Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
  • Experience in planning and implementing network disaster recovery strategies.
