    Alamos Gold's Island Gold is one of Canada's highest grade and lowest cost gold mines. This underground operation is located just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa in Northern Ontario. Through ongoing exploration success, Island Gold's Mineral Reserves and Resources have continued to grow in size and quality, and Alamos is now investing in a major expansion project which is expected to transform Island into one of the largest and most profitable mines in Canada with an 18-year mine life.     Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport material as directed (ore and waste)
  • Ensure material is delivered to proper destinations ( Ore and Waste )
  • Maintain a clean truck box (clean it daily)
  • Safely back haul roadbed for ramp maintenance
  • Report equipment location to supervisor accurately
  • Report loads of material moved accurately
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures and legislation
  • Communicate with dispatcher and other haul truck operators through radio communication while travelling the ramp
  • Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 education preferred
  • Must have basic common core modules for underground
  • Minimum of 1 year of U/G experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Able to prioritize and organize deliveries and pick-ups to maximize efficiency
