Job description
Aston Carter's large client in the transportation industry is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team The analyst will support senior financial analysts during budget preparations.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter budgets into the system - keying data
- Prepare budget reconciliations
- Assist with budget preparations
- Reconcile variances
- Variance analysis - highlighting large variances and inconsistencies, recommending solutions
- Upload reports
- Update month-end and budget templates
- Prepares various reports, analysis, and presentation materials
Additional Skills & Qualifications
MUST HAVE
- 2 years of Canadian Financial Planning & Analysis experience within a large complex environment. (must know Zero-based budgeting methodology)
- Excellent Data Entry accuracy - TESTING REQUIRED
- Advanced Excel proficiency - TESTING REQUIRED
- Strong communication skills - spoken and written
- Tech savvy - proficient switching between systems
- Able to work on site 4 days per week
NICE TO HAVE
- CPA designation
- Experience working in complex environment inclusive of union
- Lives in Burnaby or Vancouver
- Experience with Budgeting and Forecasting
This is a Contract position based out of Burnaby, BC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $ $41.00/hr.
Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Burnaby,BC.
