    Description

    What you'll do:

    Reporting to the General Manager and as part of the Senior Leadership Team at Westview Co-op, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of our Westview locations. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a business development strategy and ensuring the efficient, effective, and safe operation of each division. The Senior Manager, B2C Operations will:

  • Understand and following Westview Co-op's Health and Safety Program
  • Providing professional, people-first, service to our Members and Guests and living our Brand expectations through our "You're at Home Here" motto
  • Lead the Management Team to develop the annual corporate strategy in support of the vision and mission. Guiding the vision in interpreting and defining general operational goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
  • Focus on growth opportunities and priorities across divisions based on corporate goals and retail capacity
  • Plan for facility upgrades and replacements
  • Responsible for developing talent to meet the needs of the business, including training and development, succession planning and leadership development, and employee engagement
  • Develop and implement annual and long-term retail marketing strategy and plans that support corporate and division goals
  • Responsible for sales, margins, expenses and working capital in each division
  • Develop annual operating budgets, capital budgets, and business plans for each division
  • Frequent travel across our trading area and occasionally outside of out trading area
  • Other projects and assignments as required

    Who you are:

    We are looking for a positive, approachable, and motivated individual with a drive to learn. Candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Professional, people-first, Guest experience skills
  • Demonstrated 5 years of leadership experience, including leading a Management Team, and 7 years retail experience
  • Business degree/diploma, or a combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered
  • A strategic mindset, with the ability to drive a company's vision and purpose through each decision they make
  • Strong business and organizational savvy, with an ability to plan and align resources, including overseeing detailed operating budgets, timelines, people, and processes
  • A belief in building relationships, effectively encouraging others, and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most
  • A reputation for being honest and trustworthy, with demonstrated ability to balance stake holders, manage conflict, and ensure accountability
  • Valid class 5 driver's license (required)
